Your Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu at any time
You will just find it wonderful flying into Kathmandu on a day if that’s crystal clear. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, & begin a whole sequence of memorable experiences that stay with you for a real long time. An escort and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Our representative will help you check into your designated hotel. At the hotel you will be oriented about your daily activities. This is your first overnight in the city of temples.
Day 2: Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu is the historical heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its borders to outsiders. The city presents a wonderful combination of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, its two prime neighboring cities bear immense historical, cultural and religious significances. There will be a half day guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal Boudhanath, the 15th century Palace of 55 windows and Swoyambhunath.
DAY 3: Fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu & Trek to Birethanti [1075m]
It takes around thirty-minute to fly Pokhara from Kathmandu airport. While flying to Pokhara, you can enjoy the wonderful views of glistening mountain ranges and stunning landscapes below you. Soon after you hit the tarmac in Pokhara, we take a one-hour journey to Naya Pool along the charming Modi Khola Valley. On reaching our destination, we begin our highly thrilling Annapurna trek. The route winds through lush green forest & finally culminates at Birethanti after walking for one hour. In Birethanti, there are well-stocked shops, hotels, cafes, a police check post, a bakery and a bank, a nice little village town to have fun. This is our first over night on the mountains.
Day 4: Trek to Ghandruk [1920m]
As we quit Birethanti, we hike along terraced fields below the wonderful panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. As the trail moves across a group of flatlands, forest, cultivated lands and a suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola, we arrive at the scenic & beautiful village of Ghandruk after hiking for 3 to 4 hours. A supreme vantage point in this pristine & serene village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli. Several hotels and teahouses at the village give us a warm welcome with sincere Nepalese hospitality while catering to the requirements of all trekkers’ who hit the trail through this village. Camping in its terraced fields give you the open wild feelings of adventure!
Day 5: Trek to Tadapani [2540]
As we ascent further up the trail showcasing rich rhododendron forests, gloriously cascading waterfalls with sparkling mountain streams; we experience the mystical vistas of nature at its best. After continuously climbing for 3 hours, we step into the zone of Tadapani at an altitude of 2540 meters. Tadapani offers the most magnificent mountain views of the overwhelming peaks of Annapurna South. [Walk approx 3 hours] we then crash out for the night.
Day 6 Trek to Ghorepani [2770m]
From Banthanti, we go further along steep trails. Nature lays before us exotic sights of majestic snow-capped mountain peaks, lush vegetation and rich plant life that is so wonderful to behold. We climb further through rhododendron forest to Deorali [3100m] and reach a hamlet and cultivated fields. Continue walking for 3 hours and finally we find ourselves in Ghorepani. Ghorepani is main highlight destination of this trek also has houses lodges that provide food and accommodation to travelers out on the trail. Next, it’s an overnight.
Day 7: Trek to Nayapul & Drive to Pokhara
Early morning about 4am we hike up to the Poon Hill about 45minutes to reach before sun lighting in the beautiful mountain range of Annapurna. We are here to snap the better pictures and to catch the most awesome sunrise view on over 8000m mountain Mt.Dhaulagiri. After relishing the compelling sights of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Annapurna range and other Himalayan giants from the crystal clear point of Poon Hill [3210m], back to your tea house lodge then take some delicious breakfast to kill your hungry after early hike to the Poon Hill and we leave Ghorepani and hit the trail to Nayapul. As we go further in descending towards Birethanti; we find it lies stretched beside the Modi River and is a highly developed town. Your trails are made up of stone steps and as we pass through dense forest, we stumble into a small village of Ulleri. From Ulleri, a very steep section [with 3767 steps!] leads down to Hille on the Bhurungdi Khola. Forty minutes beyond Birethanti, we come to the main road. From here, we can easily access any means of transportation to drive to Pokhara. At eventide, you are free to walk by the lakes of Pokhara. [6 hrs walking]
Day 8: Free day in Pokhara
You can spend your day as your interest in Pokhara. You can take part in any activities or you can just relax in your hotel or do sightseeing on your own. It would also be good to send a few post cards home telling the folks of your wonderful experience.
Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu
While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you go up to Damauli, Dumre, Mugling and Kurintar where Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach Manakamana (wishes) Temple. In route, you could enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and see the local folks happily engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe, you climb up to Thankot, gateway to the capital city of Kathmandu. You can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu which takes about 25 minutes.
Day 10: Depart Kathmandu for home or any other destination
On reaching Kathmandu, your day is free to do some souvenir shopping, sightseeing or any other personal activities that suit your conveniences; until your departure. Our staff will transfer you to the airport for your connecting flight to home or any destinations.
MEALS:
Every day's breakfast, lunch & dinner is included in the package during the trek. This will be a dish of Nepali, Indian or Continental source cooked by the lodgings you stay at.
PACKING LIST:
While packing for “Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek,” warm clothing is important to ensure comfort and safety, while non-essential gear such as a Swiss knife may simply come in handy. Here we have a suggested packing list to guide you in preparation:

HEALTH & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
This trekking involves five to seven hours walking per day. However, it is easy and soft adventure trekking so, will take a physical toll. There are no special physical or training requirements, but high altitude experience & walking is a benefit.
